Employees of Labour and Employment Departments of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Turkmenistan attended a seminar on the psychology of communication

Ashgabat, 15-18 September 2020: Twenty (20) specialists from the Labour and Employment Departments of Ashgabat, Tejen, Mary, Turkmenabat, Turkmenbashi and Dashoguz took part in an online seminar on the psychology of communication and providing support to the population, in particular, young women and men seeking employment opportunities.

The main purpose of the seminar was to familiarize and discuss various methods and techniques for providing consulting and psychological assistance in the field of employment to young people from vulnerable groups of population.

The online seminar included practical exercises, during which participants were able to apply methods for assessing the emotional state of the interlocutor, discussed the difference between active listening and hearing, types of interpersonal relations and their impact on conflict situations, stages of communication and communication psychology. Participants practiced various techniques and types of constructive communication and conflict solution in everyday life.

Batyr Gurbannazarov, Deputy Head of the Labour Resources and Employment Department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan, noted: “Knowledge of the basic techniques and rules of communication significantly increases the likelihood of successful interviews with our population, in particular, with young women and men seeking employment. "

The seminar participants stressed that the online format is another innovation in the work of the employment services of Turkmenistan, which was held on a high level.
