  • UNDP assists in finalizing the National Action Plan on Human Rights.Jun 1, 2015During May 26-27, two international experts engaged by UNDP worked together with the group of national experts under the Interministerial Commission on Treaty Bodies to finalize the National Human Rights Action Plan (NHRAP) for 2015-2020. The plan is largely based on the recommendation of the Universal Periodic Review and concluding observations of the other international treaty bodies. It is expected that the Government of Turkmenistan will approve the NHRAP in 2015. It will serve as the roadmap for implementation of the treaty bodies’ recommendations, monitoring of the progress based on concrete indicators and deadlines, and national reporting for the next 5 years.
