    Ashgabat, September 20, 2016. The Government of Turkmenistan has formally adopted a list of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), 148 targets and 198 indicators to be implemented over the next 15 years. The government’s decision, outlined in the diplomatic note, dated 20th September, was conveyed to Ms. Jacinta Barrins, UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, at her meeting with Mr. Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

  • Ensuring Continuous Access to TB Treatment Sep 7, 2016

    The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) together with the StopTB Partnership introduced a new tool for monitoring and management of the medicines to treat tuberculosis (TB) throughout Turkmenistan. During the two-day practical training, UNDP has taught 16 TB doctors from regional and central facilities about the benefits and use of the “QuanTB”.
